The man doesn't know that there is a snake underneath.

The woman doesn't know that there is a stone crushing the man.

The woman thinks: “I am going to fall!

I can't climb because the snake is going to bite me! Why can't the man use a little more strengh and pull me up!" The man thinks: “I am in so much pain! Yet I'm still pulling you as much as I can! why don't you try and climb a little harder?!" The moral is: You can't see the pressure the other person is under, and the other person can't see pain that you're in.  This is life, no matter whether it's with work, family, feelings or friends we should try to understand each other.  Learn to think differently, perhaps more clearly and communicate better. A little thought and patience goes a long way

That is so true.

Fortunately my wife & I have always been really good at communicating with each other, to the extent that we often know what the other is going to say before they say it, or we find we're thinking about the same thing at the same time & then both say the same thing out loud.

Same here, still after 45 years of marriage, we must have some idea of that the other is thinking.

An alternative way of looking at things....

Once upon a time, there was a non-conforming sparrow who decided not to
fly south for the winter. However, soon after the weather turned cold,
the sparrow changed his mind and reluctantly started to fly south.
After a short time, ice began to form his on his wings and he fell to
earth in a barnyard almost frozen. A cow passed by and crapped on this
little bird and the sparrow thought it was the end, but the manure
warmed him and defrosted his wings. Warm and happy the little sparrow
began to sing. Just then, a large Tom cat came by and hearing the
chirping investigated the sounds. As Old Tom cleared away the manure,
he found the chirping bird and promptly ate him.

There are three morals to this story:

(1) Everyone who sh1ts on you is not necessarily your enemy.
(2) Everyone who gets you out of [censored] is not necessarily your friend.
(3) If you are warm and happy in a pile of [censored], keep your mouth shut.
