Out of idle curiosity (I'm good at idle), I did a quick straw poll yesterday and today when I was in Perth yesterday and generally trolling around today and somewhere between 1 in 4 and 1 in 5 cars (ignoring commercials, obviously) have personalized plates. Weird! I'm sure was nothing like that sort of percentage when we lived in Surrey (moved 15 years ago). Is it a Scottish thing? Or has it just become more common over the years? At this rate in a few years to stand out from the peasants, the thing to do will be to NOT have a personalised plate.
