Orwell Bridge - 12 April 2019
« on: Apr 12, 2019, 06:44:59 AM »
Made an early start this morning and just found the Orwell Bridge, eastbound, on A14 is closed after an accident. Apparently it is likely to remain so to lunchtime.

I imagine it will get worse in the next few hours. Will try and get round before I get breakfast.

He predicted that the bridge would be opened in 1984 but it was opened in 1982.

Fortunately I made the meeting in Felixstowe in plenty of time - I imagine the school holidays and being a Friday reduced the traffic significantly. With the disturbed night I felt shattered afterwards and needed forty winks. We are now spending three nights in Southwold. Just finishing the bottle of wine we had for dinner (lovely piece of turbot) then bed. Night night!
