Dad had a 105E Anglia. That was written off by a driver who was not licenced or insured. That driver was disqualified for 2 years. It was grey with a white roof. He had a spruce green Cortina after that.
I followed the Anglia with a Wolseley 6/110 - lovely car, the most comfortable that I have ever owned. One drawback - it did 13 to the gallon and if you let the carb air filters get dirty, that dropped to 9! Following that was a Mk II Cortina 1500  (quite unusual - the Mk IIs were supposed to have the 1300 and 1600 Kent engines, but the 1600 was delayed so they sold a few with the 1500 from the Mk I). Covered over 140,000 miles in it

My first car was a MG Magnette (model after ZA/ZB) followed by VDP 3-litre. Those BMC engines were super reliable!

I passed my Cycling Proficiency at in the summer before I started grammar school. As I was going to cycle to school my parents were keen for me to do it!
