Grandfather rights
« on: Jun 11, 2019, 06:09:15 PM »
As it was the government that gave over 75s free tv licence should all existing recipients  be able to claim grandfather right{excuse the pun) against the reversal.  surely as the government introduced it, it can only be changed back by the government. What a way to treat a section of the population on FIXED low income.  If the Government do not intervene for all over 75s to keep the free licence ...Hit  em at ballot box. >:( >:( >:( .

Nice argument CG but I think it should go with the same amount being added to the pension.

I bet their combined income tax has paid for a few pensioners' Pension Credit payments.

And the tax they have avoided paying could pay a few more.

Of all the business people I have known, I couldn't have said whether or not they avoided paying tax so you must know this couple extremely well.

What a coincidence, as so do many people who are on benefits.

It's just a matter of knowing how to work the respective systems.
