I'd be very surprised.

I'd be outraged, not that it would do me any good to be.

Whomever wins, Phillip Hammond won't be Chancellor of the Exchequer.

They reckon before he entered political life, he was a dodgy used car salesaman.  True or no?

As a very young man he bought cars from Fords, when he lived near Dagenham, & sold them on.

He was also a medical equipment salesman so he probably knew all the NHS scams.

His constituency voted 54% leave, so guess he has the full support of his local party to rely upon in the future? At 64, he can hopefully see the writing on the wall. I think he's stated he wouldn't serve in a Boris administration anyway, which would be a cleaner way to mop the floor.

Who do you think Boris would choose if he wins?

Esther mcvey?perhaps

I don't think she has the right skill set, perhaps the Arts for her?

He could try Kit Malthouse maybe, the right background? I can't see him wanting Gove with a connecting door, sleepless nights awaiting the neighbourly assassin's blade?

Unfortunately John Redwoods too old these days. Personally I'd have Jacob Rees Mogg. Mind like a slide rule and very shrewd.

Yes I agree, & JRM knows the City inside out so the bankers would never get one past him.

I've never seen him beaten in a debate.

I've also always held John Redwood in high regard.

Did anyone see The Last Leg yesterday evening?  They asked viewers to vote on a Twitter poll for who they would like to see as PM.  Stewart was said to be first choice with Johnson well down.

Never heard of the programme so what does a Twitter poll prove as I doubt it was confined to Tory Party members who are the only members of the public who matter.
