Old miniature bottles
« on: Jun 15, 2019, 09:45:36 AM »
Can anyone help me on this.  I’ve been sorting through yet another of my late husbands ‘collections’ and have come across his miniatures (the alcoholic ones) I remember him starting collecting these not long after we were married in 1970 but don’t think he added any after the birth of our son 40 years ago.

Some look perfectly good, no evaporation apparent, but some have definitely evaporated.  I’ve read that it’s ok to drink whiskey this old even it’s been left open, but what about brandy and liquors?  There’s a bottle of Southern Comfort that I used to be rather fond of and also a bottle of Prince Hubert de Polignac cognac and a Martell which I was thinking would come in handy for medicinal purposes.

Any advice from any ‘experts’ on here please?

I'm sure if you ask around, you will find a volunteer to taste or smell a tiny bit!

It might be a good idea to ask the company that makes them but this will help..
