We had a hot day up here yesterday, so anything is possibleMike
Thinks - must stop wandering off topic - sorry folksMike
Diasi, I was thinking along the same lines, but better I say no more about I really feel about the subject,
The DWP can interview you wherever they want to interview you but quite often they do it at a claimant's home because it's less stressful for the claimant to be in their home surroundings. There's also legislation in place that requires Government Departments & even private landlords to check what's called the Right to Reside. The DWP officer will not be trying to trick you, he / she will just be making sure that you get what you're entitled to get.https://www.gov.uk/right-to-resideP.S. Welcome to the forum, I've worked with quite a few blokes who baled out of South Africa, often at a minute's notice & leaving everything behind.Still it's far better than the old colonial days.Just look at what a roaring success Zimbabwe is now it's independent.
