Why steal money of pensioners to feed the fat cats of the BBC , all earning eyewatering amounts
of cash,  in order to make the poor even poorer?  It makes no sense at all

It makes perfect sense to the fat cats at the BBC.

Each morning I have a quick run through the TV for the day to see if there is anything I want to watch or record. Apart from - very occasionally - the news, I can't remember anything from any of the BBC channels exciting my interest enough to watch or record.

I think I heard it mentioned that they were postponing the requirement to pay. As I'm the oldest member of my family and not yet 75 I didn't delve deeper.

I often record stuff from BBC4, history programmes and the old music programmes on a Friday night.  Agree about BBC 1 though, mostly rubbish.

I do exactly the same Mike..More in hope than expectancy but it's either dross or dross we've already scene. There's a limit to the number of times you can go on Safari or swim on the Great Barrier Reef before you've heard it and seen it. The Blue Planet stuff re-wrote that book but now we've already seen that repeated..Some bugger choosing which house you should live in. Some other bugger telling you which country you should live in. Then it's what to cook/bake/paint or pot followed by the news..which isn't..
I'm so glad I get a newspaper and have PF.  ;D ;D

Well this evening there was one of those (female) talking heads on TV telling us oldies all how to "survive" isolation.
Dont be tempted to stay in bed. Get up at the usual time.
Have a shower and get dressed, Dont stay in your pajamas/nightie/
Get ready.
Get ready for what???
Ive never worn anything but a kaftan in the house for as long as I can remember. If Im going out (by taxi or car) I just stick a coat on top of the kaftan. Ive even gone to the docs in my kaftan as our surgery is in a multi ethnic area and there are lots of women in long robe type things

For the uninitiated a kaftan is a long loose dress down to the ankles and you dont need any underwear with it.

No underware! your a hardy lass, couldn't do without my big knickers ( sorry chaps) I get cold. I like kaftans though very comfy.

Must admit I've been in my jim jams for two days now, it's easy to vegitate. I've been cooking stuff and freezing it today before the veg is no good.  Made two veggie bakes, a cauliflower cheese and an aubergine bake.  I hate cooking, but couldn't let the veg go to waste.  Don't we digress from the subject posted!
