My OH has always had them, so I would say yes it's possible we will get one but not for a few years. Mind you that one looks too nice to be a farm workhorse.

If we lived in a rural area, a landrover would be a great option.  But in a busy city? Not necessary.

Also OK for the school run (anything over 50 yards) and if you are happy with a £40k starting price.

They take up two spaces in most car parks, one for each side.

Ha ha.  However, two of my grandchildren live too far from their prospective schools to walk, there are no school buses, so driving them is the only option. One of their cars is a 4x4, perhaps they aren't countrified enough yet to opt for a landrover, but who knows in the future!  The other walks or goes on her bike with a parent on the odd days one of them isn't working.  Otherwise its the car.

I would and will consider it when my current Range Rover is 3 year old. Price wise it is very good. I paid £51,000 for my Evoque yet the D200 110 is coming out at about £6000 cheaper and looking at the pics most of the interior and dash are almost the same.
Soft thick leather seating, glass roof etc.

Way outside my price range and s/h Range/Land Rovers are notoriously unreliable. When our local Mitsubishi dealer takes one in against a Shogun it is straight to auction rather than sell on! Their products are the most SORN'd vehicles in the UK!

Not for me either, even if I won the lottery I wouldn't go for such a big motor.

My big Suzuki has a partial glass roof, it's a panel and a real pain if the sun is in the wrong position. I have to close it down and pull the cover across it. A full glass roof would be a big no no for me. I showed Himself the pic of the one posted here and he said no he would not want one as it's too fancy for carting farm stuff around in.
