We've just finished binge watching the whole downton abbey series, and now the missus wants me to take her to see the film again.
I wonder what the best selling dvd will be this christmas, lol!  ;D

The dvds I would like this Christmas are .

Once Upon A Time In Hollywood and Toy Story 4.

I'd enjoy it a lot more if the lead man weren't such a wooden actor and men kissing men were'n't part of a wartime story. It seems like every modern drama has to have it's PC/Gay quota these days and I find it bloody tiresome!

Regarding "World on Fire" I watch it with a certain amount of cynical criticism.  Peter Hitchens observed in his "Sunday Mail" column, the chances of an English translator being fluent in Polish would have been rare and local contract employees were employed at the time in our Warsaw Embassy.  Even I can pick out so many faults you wonder what the so called Technical Advisors (if the BBC have any) actually know.  A British army officer chatting about his private affairs with a Sergeant, the same officer giving a thump to a private soldier and getting away with it, well I despair.

I used to sometimes drive Veronica to distraction by picking up on those sort ot things - like American Civil War soldiers brandishing Colt SAA revolvers - not available until 8 years after the war ended, that sort of thing - eventually I learnt to keep such things to myself - usually!
