One for Spud.

  I thought I might introduce some one to you Spud. Many years ago when my bones were still bendy, I used to play at a club in Del Mar named for this song..

Cheers Zoony - that was "interesting".   Totally new to me but obviously has a big following. I think he sounds like Johnny Cash, but smoother and more melodic.   I'll keep looking; really liked the second one and have had a quick listen to some of the others on the page which were promising.   Thanks again.

Yer welcome. The second one was the only one I liked enough to learn. It's the Bakersfield 'sound' which goes back to Hank Williams through Merle Haggard. Just another kind of country. (That's a hell of an album title!) ;)
