Car sales are strange.
« on: Oct 07, 2019, 11:00:59 AM »
I changed my car on the 1st March and the garage took the old one in which was a year old and had done just under 10,000 miles and was immaculate according to the garage.
I met the sales man this morning and they were about to take it to the motor auctions and it suddenly sold.
The sales man could not understand why it took 6 months to sell. Several people test drove it and went for something else.

Obviously word got out about the previous  owner, I surprised anybody would buy it knowing that.

They were doubtless worried about being approached by someone wanting to talk about pensions

Maybe the car smelled of bullshіt.

Maybe there was something in the glovebox about a London pension being paid in Birmingham and they thought in view of this it had been clocked!

It's really quite simple, they were asking too much for it.

For someone so savvy about money, why would you change a car after a year Brian?   A new car depreciates by 20% in the first week.  That represents quite a loss!

i dont mind spending money on myself and my family and worthwhile charities. The homeless for example are not worthwhile.

Homeless dogs are OK.
I support dogs rehoming centres  and health charities. Humans are responsible for themselves.
