A present?
« on: Oct 07, 2019, 11:29:59 PM »
Its my five year old Grandsons birthday Saturday, what to get him?
Suggestions wouldn't go amiss & more interestingly I want to see if anyone matches or beats the idea I already have.
His parents are working professionals & they don't skimp on birthdays for both of their sons. The little fella really wants for nowt.
It was my birthday Sunday, so I took a few out for Sunday lunch & the little fella sat next to me. All during the meal he sat there building Batmans car out of Lego...……..I thought mmmm Lego it is !! My daughter later that day told me he loves Lego & has boxes of it, so that's a no, no from me.
There are no prizes if you come up with an idea & no prizes if you guess what present Im thinking of...…….that way there will be no infighting between you good folk.

Oh & here's the pub/restaurant we visited Sunday.

They don't do Sunday roasts...…….
I’m a real he/him.

A scooter? Books? A skateboard? Premium bonds? A special day out somewhere? A Nerf gun?

Buying for grandchildren, especially as so many want for little, is increasingly difficult these days.  Whatever you decide Akbuk, I'm sure he'll love it.

If you really want to give him a birthday surprise that he'll never forget, get him nothing.

Lego Land he has done & will be doing it again at the weekend. Marbles was something I mulled over but TBH I wouldn't know where to get a sack full from & his brother who is eight years his senior is not a marble player.

My idea...………….a kite. I used to see loads of them when I was a kid. Argos sells them, he's outgoing & like any kid loves the park.....….oh & I fancy flying the kite with him, building it, I might even let him hold the string in his later years lol
