As Raven says - lovely area. Don't forget the midges though - here in the East we don't get them, and I've never been to the West in the midge season, although I've heard a good few horror stories.

Raven that is where my hubby and I always went on holiday...we'd drive up to Callander fort william oban ullapool....just went b&b .the best holidays we ever had.we've been all over the highlands, and would love to still be able to go there, but I don't have the confidence to drive so far now ...and hubby doesn't drive :)

Twice I have crossed over the border. Once on a holiday in the 50's to Ayr to a Butlins camp and once to Glasgow Airport not by design more a question of necessity as there were no flights available to London.

Both times it rained and was cold. Had breakfast at the airport which was disgusting.

Nope I have never had the urge to go a third time besides which the guys are well a bit funny. Running around in a dress of all things.

GTS Butlins....nar, he would have booked B&B at Edinburgh Castle.....


i would have put £20 million on my debit card and given the £150 million to my son to worry about

i went to Butlins Skegness... what a horrid country England is, i wont be back, and it was full of English, but quite a nice Chinese eatery, at least i didnt have to live on horrid English food, did you know that in England your kettle get coated in white stuff, that explains the sour faces.....perhaps

Actually one of the recurring points made here is that it isn't full enough of English anymore
