Manchester Arndale Attack.
« on: Oct 12, 2019, 06:48:27 AM »
I see that Manchester has enjoyed some more ethnic diversity enrichment.

Of course with the perpetrator not being white it's now being reported as a mental health issue.

Had he been white he'd have been named & it would have been reported as a terror attack by a right-wing thug.

I read he'd been arrested for terror offences. 🤔  Another horrific attack on ordinary people.

Correct, he's been detained under the Mental Health Act, to give psychiatrists time to come up with an excuse in order to minimise what he did.

The white guy who ran his van into a group of Muslims was named straightaway & wasn't detained under the Mental Health Act, despite people who knew him saying he had a history of mental health issues.

And the arguments went on for years when it was said that the murderer of Jo Cox had mental health issues; saying that brexiters were using it as an excuse!!  True he was following some nasty organizations, but he was also a nutter, and who on earth would want to make up any excuse for him.

But he wasn't detained under the Mental Health Act, he was prosecuted by the full weight of the law under the Terrorism Act.

It's the difference in the establishment's approach that I'm highlighting.

"A 40-year-old, from Manchester, was initially arrested on suspicion of the commission, preparation and instigation of an act of terrorism, but was later assessed by specialist doctors and compulsorily detained under the Mental Health Act.

He was considered unfit to be kept in custody and has now been transferred to mental health detention and police will now decide with Crown Prosecution Service officials whether he is in a position to face charges.

Forensics officers searched an address overnight in the Rochdale Road area in the north of the city where the man is thought to have lived in social housing for around 12 months. Officers said on Saturday the investigation would continue to establish whether there were any political or ideological motives behind the attack.

It is understood that none has been found so far and mental health is being closely considered as a contributing factor in the attack."

Looks like the authorities have managed to get away with not calling the attack terror related & the perpetrator is still, very conveniently, unnamed.
