Power outage
« on: Oct 16, 2019, 01:42:27 PM »
This morning at 2am there was a power cut where I live which lasted almost exactly an hour. Can't remember when that last happened and I wondered if it was pre-arranged for whatever reason. A bit far-fetched perhaps but, on the other hand...

Now you mention it (fingers crossed) it must be over a year since we last had a power cut. We used to ger several a year - our power supply is via overhead cable passing through woods and gales tended to cause branches to bring down lines, both power and telephone

There was nothing on the power network outage listings about it.

What made you think it might have been prearranged?

Nothing other than the timing. 2am til 3am seems a good time if there's something that needs to be done without inconveniencing too many folk. It's not a conspiracy theory.. ;D

Power station change overs are done in the early hours so it could have been a problem with that.
