Same experience as Diasi drove home with varifocals too. Would not wear anything else.

Back in the 70s I remember we had 'hydrophillic' lenses. I left mine in a motel somewhere. Very uncomfortable and had a habit of getting lost in my left eye. I'll stay with my specs..


I had 'hard' lenses (are they the same?) in the seventies, pure vanity!  Expensive and uncomfortable.  My son wore disposable lenses in his sporting days.  Now glasses are very 'in'.  My oldest granddaughter has inherited mine and her dad's short sightedness, and looks great in her glasses.

I wonder if the accident happened  BEFORE the driver had an eye test.!!
