Corned beef hash is also nice Floyd, not sure about spam though   ;D

My memories of corned beef hash were of a mixture of corned beef and mashed potatoes, baked or not. Nowadays it seems it has to have a load of onions in it! There must be something about onions, I hate 'em, that persuades people eating ready-meals that it tastes right.
Floyd: Buy a tin of spam, slice it as you like and fry in beef dripping. There's your Spam fritter.

Roast pork, apple sauce and cabbage today.  Not sure what style of potatoes to serve with it.

Don't tend to see brisket much here, but we use 'skink' (shin) slow cooked for making pies.

Mike I to used to hate onions, but since getting married love them and cannot get enough of them, even to the extent of peeling them and eating them like an apple raw.

Sunday dinner for the two of us is roast chicken with mash lots of veg apple sauce and stuffing. Tomorrow the legs and what is left of the breast with chips peas and sweetcorn. If on the rare occasion the family come round a large piece of pork in the slow cooker done in port wine with mixed herbs bay leaf and salt and pepper, pulled pork with all the trimmings and for me lots of fried onions.

( Still cannot post smileys )

Roast Lamb to-day with Roasters followed by home made apple pie.
Getting back to the Brisket subject -when I was working I could shift 6 full Briskets per week which wasn't bad--cooked properly a very popular joint.

We're going out tomorrow for a pub meal (gammon for me!) so we weren't too bothered for a 'dinner' dinner today so we've just had a nice tasty chilli with rice, unfortunately spoilt because neither of us thought to warm the dinner plates before serving up, and boy does it make a difference. Always warm your plates, folks!  :)

Yes. Always warm up the dish before you lay the main course.
Am I right ?

For me today it's chicken, stuffing, roasties, green beans, sprouts and carrots.  I've got a sticky toffee pudding from Aldi - two in a pack, very sweet but I kid myself and serve it with low fat fromage frais  ;D
