It came up in an election time TV debate a few years ago when whoever it was was trying to argue that massive immigration did not create a shortage of housing.
It was probably Diane Abbott, she's good at calculations.
These comments about Diane Abbott's lack of maths ability just don't add up.
I recall a TV program called "how to get a council house" when one talking head said that only 10% of houses went to immigrants!Why any while there are British born people on the list? Immigrants should not be entitled to register for social housing until they have been here for 10 years and should be made to pay double taxes for that time. No free schooling or NHS either. And definitely no benefits.They arrive in already debt to British taxpayers.
If there are council houses that their tenants don't want they should sell them.
