Yesterday we had people around for dinner. Whilst the other half beavered away with the mains I was delegated the starter. This was light and simple "Parma ham with melon". When I opened the pack it was impossible to separate the Parma ham into slices. They were separated by thin sheets of plastic film which achieved nothing. Which idiot came up with slicing ham and other products, like smoked salmon, so thin that you cannot separate the slices? It is not wafer thin it is stupidly thin!
