School Puddings ! , anyone remember Tapioca puddings ? us  Primary school  kids Used to call it Frog Spawn ,it now seems to be off menue these days ,( thankfully )
 :D ,roll on Brexit , those good old days could be coming back soon  ???

I remember and mourn the passing of proper baked beans. These low-salt, low-sugar and low-taste things Heinz sell now are horrible. >:( >:(

  I do, I do..and a knob of butter but they're still wrong. Might try some other brands..

I keep thinking it must be my taste buds..the beans are really tasteless now

I still remember the smell of the cooking, didn't matter what was on the menu , it all smelled the same

I went to a convent school, the nuns couldn't cook and most of the dinners were horrible, the one thing they did do OK was Irish Stew, and the sponge puddings with custard were good.  I remember the frog spawn, yuk!

Frog spawn - loved it. We had 8 boys to a table, most of whom did not share my taste, so I used to end up with several helpings
