noises you hear in flats,
« on: Nov 21, 2019, 08:39:13 PM »
many years ago there was a young couple who when ever they felt amorous and  the people living in the flat below not by choice could hear them at it as the head board kept hitting the wall ,

the couple below didn't have the heart to tell them simply to save them from embarrassment ,and suffered until the couple years later moved to another address,

Q; what would you do in those circumstances,  I'm sure your replies will make interesting reading,

so should flats be sound proofed, even though it would

I'd have a quiet word before anything else. The response to that would dictate any subsequent action. Can't be doing their plaster much good anyway.

It's possible the couple don't realise they're being heard, A quiet friendly word to the wise would probably be enough to get them to move their bed away from the wall a bit. ;D

We live in a high rise block of flats for the over 60s, been here since September & heard no head board banging at all.   ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Just ask them if they heard any banging last night.

Didn't someone once say that discretion is a virtue or something ?   ;D

Just ask them if they heard any banging last night.
much better idea - suitably embellished with something like‘I didn’t realise how late it was when I put that shelf up’ or whatever seems appropriate

Oop: I'm so sorry, I forgot to put my wife's straitjacket on before I shut her in her room last night.

That’s what’s called ‘banging away’.
Everything will be alright in the end, and if it’s not alright, its not the end.
