Each to our own zoony. You have had an interesting life, and it's clear you've enjoyed your adventures.  Perhaps for those of us that have had more ordinary experiences, Christmas is a highlight.  We don't do a lot, we have a nice dinner, exchange gifts, perhaps play a couple of daft games with the grandkids, then go for a walk on Boxing Day.  I hope we are providing happy memories for the grandchildren.   🎄🎄

And I love sprouts! We have them even when its not Christmas. 😀

We love sprouts too.  Our local farm sells sprout sticks which keep well in the garage.

Our Christmas dinner will be in the garden of our lovely hotel in India.  I doubt if we will get any sprouts though!

We do the family visits before Christmas day. Don't do presents either, we prefer to give a donation or two to our favourite charities.Nice dinner with my wife then feet up & take it easy,Phone off the hook & mobile turned off !One thing we will not do is waste time with the Queen's speech either, I'd rather watch a cartoon on the TV instead.

She will have problems with her speech this year, not a good year for the Royals.

Another annus horribilis, all down to the kids.  I hope she doesn't give them any Christmas pud this year!

I'm fussy about me stuffing...so could never have Crimbo Dinner out.
We prepare most of the food the night before..and fill the spare fridge with serving dishes.
The meat and taters go in on the morning...we are doing a kindle this year €10 gift to all.
Last year i had a bit of spare and treated the kids- different this time. But all goes well and no one goes hungry..we have two visitors also...as they are on their own. Would'nt mind turkey and trimmings on the beach though!!

I have the greatest of respect for Elizabeth Windsor, the person, but
none whatsoever for the house of Hanover.

I thought the house was Saxe-Coburg-Gotha before it was changed during WW1 to Windsor?

The Hanoverian Victoria married Albert Saxe-Coburg-Gotha.

Then that lot changed their name to 'Windsor' to try and make things less obvious.

Since that old bag had to be nudged by The Sun( of all papers.) ..to fly the flag at half-mast after the passing of Diana..i have no time for that shower.
In saying that- in 1977 i shook her hand in Ripley.....with a 'Stuff The Jubilee' badge pinned to my t.shirt.
