It is to my mind. Crimbo is a totally different word - might as well be foreign - whereas Xmas (which, as I said, I don't like either) has the obvious connotation of the cross symbol

X being the first letter of Christ, in Greek, often combined with the second Greek letter, P, in church symbols, whereas Chrimbo is the kind of short form used frequently in Manchester or Liverpool dialects. To be honest it doesn't sound right in an Essex accent.

Trying to be with it,my sister asked a nephew if he had received any pressies.He asked her if she meant presents.He is now a consultant anaesthetist at Barts or another London hospital.Totally irrelevant,I know.
