I don't bother with a printed calendar, I put everything on my little dumb phone's calendar which is brilliant as it will give me an alert even if it's switched off.

I may not bother. Vernon always used to send us a calendar featuring Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. Veronica used to use it for appointments and the like, but since I lost both of them, like you I now rely on my phone and Lotus Organiser on this computer - but the big pictures month by month did look cheery on the wall.
