Lovely piece of music - it's frightening to think that the tsunami will be 9 years ago shortly

Beautifully written and played, not many dry eyes after watching that anywhere I'm sure - thanks for the post.

I heard a bit of this a few minutes ago so I tracked it down as an antidote to that heart-rending piece..I'm not one for cover versions but see how long it takes you to recognise this song..You'll be quietly smiling long before that..

"Listen to the wind, it cleans the mind."

"Never use money to measure wealth, son"

Nice cheerful number, although to the best of my knowledge I have never heard it before

Thanks - sounds good - but as I had assumed, I had never heard it before (I've led a sheltered life  ;D ) Actually, when one thinks of the truly enormous amount of music that has been written, performed, and/or recorded over the last few hundred years - scarcely surprising that at a rough guess I am probably only familiar with something like 0.00000000000000001 % of it

It was actually quite a big hit but hey ho, you didn't miss much and I prefer the choir's version anyway..Hopefully, if the guy who wrote it is still alive he just might get an unexpected cheque one day soon. ;D

I have been playing sad songs all day [mostly the Fureys and Vera Lynn CDS].  But this one has emerged as my favourite tear-jerker of the day.   Closely followed by Vera Lynn's version of When I Grow to Old to Dream.  But I now give you the Green Fields of France by the Fureys.

or this version with lyrics

Stellamaris.. How beautiful. I sang along with the words.
Being Irish he was much better than I was but he covered my mistakes.. Such a sad song.
Everything will be alright in the end, and if it’s not alright, its not the end.

Glad you liked it [if liked is the right word] Scrumpy.  Every bit of it is poignant but for me the part about the old yellowed photograph in a brown leather frame is so affecting.   I remember those.
