I did reply if he had paid enough in to a pension scheme he could have that amount. His reply was he could not afford to pay for a pension.

Repetition can become very boring Brian..

Eating 5 pieces of fruit a day..

Going to the shopping for the perfect frock that is not out there.!

Looking at another rainy day..

Even sex is on the list for some..

Please add to the list .....
Everything will be alright in the end, and if it’s not alright, its not the end.

I just had my pension prognosis.

I am 57 and if I carry on paying type 2 contributions for the next 10 years.

Assuming I haven't dropped off my twig before then I should get what is now worth
£280 a week (adjusted in whatever daft way they adjust things), which, if you do the Maths comes to:

£14560 per annum; which doesn't seem an awful lot.

My Bulgarian pension will buy me 4 oz of Black Strippit Baas once a week!

This is one of the reasons why my wife and I have been merrily buying property over the years as we don't trust
investment schemes and the interest in the banks is not interesting at all.

Um, well, I've already got a wardrobe of perfect frocks which will guarantee I get badly beaten up as
an ancient transvestite when I prance down to the Post Office to get my pension.  8)

richmond62...

You are obviously a very shy person.. Have you spoken to anyone about your (little problem).?
Don't hide away.. Don't prance.. Just be you , hold your head high and be proud of your 'look'..
I bet red is your colour.. or maybe a blue polka dot.!!!
Everything will be alright in the end, and if it’s not alright, its not the end.

I see that there is pressure to cut interest rates. As I got a letter from Lloyd’s last week telling me that the rate on my savings account will reduce next month to 0.1%, I wonder how long it will be before they decide to charge me for the privilege of letting them look after my money! About an hour after receiving the letter I moved much of the money elsewhere!
Mike
Thank you for the days, the days you gave me.

I had a similar letter from one of my banks. But a few weeks ago I had another letter saying the interest rate on my credit card was going up 67%! As it is already in double figures I think they are taking the [censored]! I pay it off in full anyway.

I think there is no need to cut interest rates! Yes retail slipped last year but in a world of finite resources you cannot have endless growth. A number of local cafes/restaurants went under last year but they either had inflated prices, rubbish food, poor service or a combination thereof. The local garden centre also shifted far less Christmas tat. People are wising up!

I don't ecpect many Brummies could be bothered collecting it. A man in a pub told me that they've all got £5million in the bank.
So long and thanks for all the fish

He was handing out flyers for the local theatre who had some talking dogs on but I didn't notice their names.
