I saw him  buy 2 pints of beer. Surely he should have his benefits cut.

Why? Is beer still not being classed as a food?

Maybe the poor man limits himself to two pints because he has health problems.
When I drink more that two pints I'm up half the night getting rid of it due to an enlarged prostate.

An interesting idea. Quite an old one though as Bedlam charged for folks to gawp at their inmates too well over a century ago.
