I would not describe Brian Cox as low life, but he is typical of that "Luvvie" culture that despises money that has not been earned via the "ARTs".
A "Luvvie" culture that despises Business.

It is that dependency that drives the "Luvvies" anger - they need left wing governments to fund the arts.

On reflection it is amazing how much of my political opinion is informed by the Yes Minister / Yes Prime Minister series. Never seen such an interesting documentary before or since and they managed to present it in a light humorous manner too. Masterful.

I've seen Cox in several roles over the years and thought him a good actor - especially enjoyed him as one of Wellington's heads of intelligence in Sharpe. That was the totality of my opinion of him - now, I am sure that he remains a good actor, but my opinion of him as a human being has crashed and burned

In his defence, Cox has always preferred the theatre to small-screen or Hollywood and has been an active member of the RSC for many years. Like you Mike, I enjoy his acting. Can't help but think that a humorous anecdote which he's recounted at many dinner tables in the past 50 yrs has been taken out of context to flog a few newspapers.

I have to admit to never having heard of him, nor would I have recognised him.

The only Brian Cox with whom I'm acquainted is the physicist.

I initially though it was about the physicist who seems to have signed an eternal youth pact with Satan. I have seen the actor bloke who clearly hasn't in loads of stuff though.

Brian Cox,
One of those actors who seem to be in everything.
The Bourne trilogy, for example.

I haven't seen that.

Just had a look at this list & I haven't seen a single one of them.
