Just saw a different one. Model Supermarine Spitfire. First issue £1.99 then 119 more at £9.99. Just shy of £1,200.

Ashy got there first but I was going to say the same.

Not really, but I also saw the advert and thought 'what idiot would pay that much money and also have to wait two years to complete the thing?' Ridiculous

I googled it and a Spitfire in 1940....
Unit cost   £12,604 (£774,905 in 2017) (Estonian order for 12 Spitfires in 1939

This one is about a couple of feet long and doesn't fly.

This is like people who take out a Capital One credit card with an APR of 45%

For £1000 I would want it to do aerobatics. Or even Zumba.

It never bothers me what APR is charged by a credit card as I always set up a DD to pay them off in full each month. I just look at what cashback they pay.

I always keep my cards in credit, even if it is only by a few pounds. Made that my policy even since one Christmas about 14 years or more ago there was so much going on - both good and bad - around the period that I somehow missed paying my Visa. It wasn't much, but the sheer principle of wasting money is against my religion!

Just ask the provider to set up a monthly full payoff DD. I've never had one refuse.

Same here.  We have a joint Asda mastercard.  There is about £11 cashback there at the moment.  We'll leave it to add up and then take it off our shop sometime.
