i warned her 40plus years ago. She said there is no point joining a pension scheme.

It's good that you kept in touch with her, I haven't spoken to any of my ex-colleagues since I retired & I sometimes wonder how they are keeping.

Hexadecimal system uses Base 16. It is also 2^4 and 4^2.

Just a thought, if you advised her 40 years ago you were working in London, but you still keep in touch with her now you're in Birmingham.

Did she move to Birmingham or did she phone to say she was struggling to make ends meet?
