Pictures of pets

Here is a picture of Buddy. Not my cat but my nephews. In as much as a cat can ever "belong" to anyone. Most ginger cats have white feet but he even has stripes on his toes.

Something that I learned a while back which surprised me - if you see a ginger cat it is almost certainly a male - apparently there are very few ginger females

Here's a picture of Sam who, like Buddy doesn't have white paws - as you say most gingers I remember do look to have walked in the snow - or the milk!

Oh, and sadly Sam is no longer with us - that shot was taken nearly 50 years ago

They're both lovely.  Our old black and white moggy is no longer with us. Our son has two gingers, brother and sister, they both have some white, but they are easily identified because the tom only has a little on his feet.  They are definitely not indoor cats, they have a countryside to explore!
Just because you’re offended doesn’t mean you’re right.

Apparently 75% of cats, like humans tend to prefer to use a particular paw. Males tend to be left pawed and females favour the right one. Buddy has learned to turn on the kitchen tap with his paw. He likes to watch the water dripping and then uses his paw to drink.

There is a TV advert with a lovely ginger cat turning a table lamp on and off with its paw.

It’s many years since I was privileged to care for cats, so I can’t remember who it was, but one of them , and I think it may have been Sam, loved to lick the kitchen tap.
Sam was the clumsiest cat I have ever known. The kitchen in that house had a window over the sink. In summer the window would be open, and the others would leap up onto the edge of the sink, then bounce onto the windowsill and down into the garden. Not Sam. Often as not he would misjudge it and either undershoot and end up hanging by his front paws from the edge of the sink, or overshoot and end up in the sink itself

Mike we had a ginger female and you are right most are toms. What a little bug*er she was too. She would jump up and curl on your lap purring and push her cheeks into your hand for tickles...then suddenly explode, dig her claws into your legs then dive off and use our blown vinyl wall paper to run around the walls even up to the ceiling. She was beautiful and we loved her dearly, unfortunately she was hit by a car and died instantly but without any visible  injury.

Nice pics by the way BL.

Strange how painful it is when claws are dug into one's kneecap!
