A very special visitor...
« on: Mar 19, 2020, 12:33:57 PM »
I am totally alone in my room...and today, feeling a bit sad...when I looked out of the window, and a most beautiful peacock walked up to the front door...looking for food. I got up and gave him some currants but he was'nt too keen...So, I got my last fig roll biscuits and broke them in small bits.He loved them ! I talked to him and said : Sorry, That is all I have... He then slowly opened up his most beautiful tail feathers, and turned around shaking them and opening his wings and the rest of his body feathers and made a most beautiful display for me !!!! He was saying : Thank you ! :D gmx

I have a lovely black cat who patrols through my garden several times a day. Whenever he sees me outside doing a photo shoot he sits down and watches me. Sometimes he rolls on his back and invites me to stroke his tummy which is a real sign of trust and affection in cats.

A neighbour at the bottom of the street, my nephew has seen him sitting on the bins. My garden is part of his territory to patrol.

We had a visiting hedgehog last night, it walked up the garden with me & waited behind the shed while I put some dog food out for it.

It didn't seem at all bothered by the Yorkies who were out & who didn't chase it or pester it.

Fluffy black cat belongs to a house at the end of the street which is too far for me to walk. They are an elderly couple in a bungalow.

The neighbours I dont get on with have more or less disappeared! Havnt seen them for weeks and there has been no washing on the line. Mrs Gunga Din used to wash obsessively almost every day.

My theory is that Mrs Gunga Din is ill, he cant cope, and they have gone to stay with family. Whatever you think about this group, they dont put their relatives in a home but tend to look after them within the family.

Given current events I would not expect to see them for some time and would not be surprised to see a for sale sign there in the forseeable future.

Thank you for the days, the days you gave me.
