Home virus testing kits
« on: Mar 25, 2020, 04:57:36 PM »
This is dangerous that boots might be selling home testing within a few days.  A test will tell you whether you're infected or not.
But what might be the use of that?  If you're infected you stay in Lockdown; if you are not infected you should stay in Lockdown.
The danger is that those who test negative assume they are in the clear and break their Lockdown obligations.
Folly folly.

I don't know, I would find it useful.  Every time I have a vaguely suspicious symptom I wonder about it.  If I tested negative I would be pleased and resolve to make sure it stayed that way.  I think that would be a general response.  A positive test would prevent you shilly-shallying about if your symptoms worsened beyond manageable.

There will always be idiots, but I'm not in the mood to protect/pander to them. That's my "off the top of my head" view - I might be very wrong.

They'll be on eBay soon. Dirt cheap if you don't mind the couple of weeks they'll take to come from China and think they'll survive the couple of hours in bleach they'll need before risking use.
So long and thanks for all the fish

From what I understand, it's not very definitive..There are a few things that would make it read positive that are not Covid...All in all I think I'll wait and see. Bloody bored though..

Double barrel question this one - you should put yourself into a rigorous form of isolation for 7 days

define rigorous Bazzer

The term 'a rigorous Bazzer' came into common use in London during the 1740s when the practice of 'bazzing' was at it's height. The young dandies of the day thought it great sport to tip up a lady's cage, a device for maintaining the drape of a voluminous skirt. It caused great merriment were the victim found to be 'tubeless' or without underwear, and the cry of BAZZER!! would be raised. The phrase had left common parlance by 1750.

Ladies did not begin wearing "knickers" until well into the 19th century!

So Elizabeth I went bare assed. However prostitutes in 16th century Venice wore them.

Horrible hooligans even in 1740, they'd be in jail for sexual harassment today.

I know they had long voluminous skirts, but very drafty up the nether regions.  I'm glad somebody invented Sloggis.
