are food banks in decline?
« on: May 16, 2020, 08:26:49 AM »
With emphasis on getting our regular food deliveries, as many of us are either clicking and collecting , having food delivered , whilst  others simply queuing up joining the conga que of people,.

patiently waiting their turn to get inside the store, shop, or where ever  simply to get  their weekly  shop,

although food banks are life savers  and very helpful to those people who need them,

are food banks them selves starting to decline having  an effect, as people are putting them selves first, as a result of limitation, and food banks last,

Q; have you any thoughts regarding are food banks in decline??

I don't know about that but the big bin things for food donations are still in the supermarkets here.

when we shopped at Tesco's Veronica and I always added a few tins to the collection, but since I have been on my own I have relied on deliveries, topped up for perishables - basically milk bread and veg - on the little Co-op a couple of miles away. I feel a bit guilty about no longer contributing, but I can't see a way round it
