No. There has been some fly tipping in the next road to mine.

As facilities of all sorts re-open, there is bound to be a backlog.

My s-i-l lives in Hereford - their tip has now  reopened  and a friend of hers and husband queued for 90 minutes to get into it with the queue causing traffic problems as it backed up to a main road

Local news reported 2.5 hours in Luton and 2 for a drive-thru Starbucks!

ridiculous - if folk have had to wait weeks, why not be patient for a few more days?

Most things, apart from white goods, can be broken up and put in general waste bin over a period of time.  We did that when we had a carpet fitted. We jus cut up the old one into maneageable lumps.  Our fortnightly general waste bin is rarely more than half full.

The family of an older couple up the street cleared their garden the other week, there was loads of stuff, as well as branches and old shrubs. A skip was filled.  And you're right Mike, everyone just needs a little patience.
Just because you’re offended doesn’t mean you’re right.

There was a 4 hour queue when our local tip reopened.  I see that when another north west tip opened, people had to make appointments to use it.  They must have learned from problems elsewhere.

Great. The fly tipping was caught on CCTV so the man who did it will be getting a visit from the boys in blue. One man was fined £850 a while ago for fly tipping. I know the magistrate.

Puzzled? Would your fine have been more if you hadn't?

How can anyone know the magistrate if the miscreant has not been charged yet?

I know it's BS you know it's BS. Why bother asking questions which you know have no answer?

Sorry. I felt I was groping my way through a maze, and you come along and just go round the side.  Most refreshing.

Most of your responses in such threads are absolutely appropriate. I just felt you may have lost your way.
