Do your bit
« on: May 19, 2020, 04:03:31 PM »
Prince Charles asking for unemployed to go and pick the crops.
Why doesn't he set an example. get in his 4x4 and drive down
to Kent and start picking. Closely followed by Branson and the
other scroungers taking money off the state.
If the Buck stops here how can the Doe go all the way ?

Albert.

He has his own land to look after and if he does drive down there someone will whinge about him riding along on the chest of a slave. :)

Branson is probably not in the country sunning himself on his private island.

There isn't much of it yet apart from strawberries in poly tunnels.
So long and thanks for all the fish

I imagine it's easy enough to fail interviews or get the sack.

A beggar asked my daughter for money today. She told him to go fruit picking.

We used to go fruit and pea picking as  kids. We went to a central location on the outskirts of Liverpool and were picked up by farm waggons, which brought us back at the end of the day. So we didnt need to stay overnight. We used to go in a group and my friends brothers were 15 and 16 (big lads) so they looked after us.

It was hard work but we enjoyed it. I remember saving the money to buy my first pair of stiletto heeled shoes.

It can be rather difficult to sack someone these days you have to gave a good and valid reason, gross misconduct etc and in many cases well evidenced over several weeks or months , if not you could be on the wrong end of a tribunal for unlawful unfair dismissal which could be very costly.
