Dover Today. The Latest!
« on: May 21, 2020, 12:59:15 PM »
As a millpond down there today. Sunshine too. The Farage saw and recorded the boats coming across yesterday...escorted(The Times said today!)by the French. We saw 'em in today anyways.

My insider down at Dover todays tells me arguments are breaking out in the shops down there. He was queueing for milk behind others today. I told him keep schtum, any said objection could have YOU arrested, not the illegals.

People used to go sit atop the White Cliffs to look out across the channel. New hobby(for those who have none)might be to go down there on these bright sunny days an watch the new arrivals be escorted in. When I saw the last pic of them today on the front page of the Times, they were giving the thumbs up!

Laugh or cry!

Apparently 65 brought in by the Border Farce taxi service today.

It needs someone with a sound knowledge and a sharp brain to re-interpret maritime law on this subject. If we can stop foreigners trawling illegally in our waters we must be able to stop this form of piracy.

Just one or two bullets into a rubber dinghy and "ping".  Swimming lessons anyone?

Guns and bullets won't happen, a serious solution is needed rapidement !  or perhaps the French and British governments have an agreement that we don't know about ?

It just goes to show what a soft touch this country has become. Snowflakery at it's best.

06.50am today Today R4. Head o Kent Social Services. Theyre getting overwhelmed with the new arrivals. Children. How are they coming into the country? asks Michelle Hussein. Boat. Dinghy. No longer the lorries
The French authorities say they have stopped 200 or so attempts to cross the channel by these folk. Yeh,like...are you planning to go this morning. Don't. Times it by 199. Next, comment 'good weather and sailing conditions tomorrow'. I will never blame the migrants or the French authorities. I applaud both. You can see how it works. On the same radio, the presenter was asking the foreign resident now working in the NHS, if they thought a backpayment of charges now be repaid to them on top of the recent cancellation of fees. It(the radio programme)then had the worker complete his picture: he and his wife had to live in a house/flat with just 1 or 2 bedrooms. They had a child. It was best for them to socially distance as they worked in separate NHS facilities. The short story was...shouldn't these two new NHS employees be fast tracked to a new house with 3,4 or 5 bedrooms. My guess is that they were in social housing, but hey! who cares! Up grade 'em above the locals to some better housing stock. Once again I was in shock. I just don't get it

The BBC is about as anti British as it can possibly be, all its output is against the British people and way of life, their so-called experts are rampant political activists and so are their journalists, you can't believe a word they say. In wartime they would have to be closed down.

Whilst I personally think they should be escorted back to France if found in UK waters or taken back if they manage to land in England Maritime Law dictates otherwise

Maritime law does not apply on shore, and almost certainly covers criminal acts at sea. We had to repel Danish fishing a few years ago as I recall. Vessels can be challenged in territorial waters. (There are no international waters in the Channel.)

It is obvious that Maritime Law does apply on land that is why it is called Maritime Law, they are the rules of the sea, as I understand it for International waters and all costal waters

We Police our own costal waters which means we can challenge vessels in our waters like any other  nation that has a coast line with the open sea

Bottom line as I understand it no Master of any vessel can ignore persons in distress or danger at sea be it in costal waters or International waters .

If people do manage to land on our shores unlawfully as these refugees/economic migrants do almost daily then they come under English Criminal Law

Only the little people are concerned with the law. The big folk make and break the law. Its also nice to see how the law can be manipulated...usually for the betterment of the status quo.

It would be nice to see our top folk have a bit of empathy for us common folk 'down here'. But at their dinner briefings its good to show charity when there's bishops a-dining at your top table. As the people of Stoke are shafted with yet more migrants coming in and demanding more, our higher-minds on higher salaries sniff better air. The oiks are really so uneducated. Our betters know better, thats why theyre our betters. The common folk of GB say we want managed migration, our betters know better ignore us.
