Social worker talking rubbish.
« on: May 24, 2020, 01:26:39 PM »
I spoke to a lady this morning who is widowed but still in her marital home.
She went to a meeting about her father who is now being put in care with dementia.
He has very little in the way of assets or money.
The social worker said she will have to sell her house to pay the fees and get a smaller one to pay the fees.
This is rubbish. Only assets belonging to the father count for care home fees.

I forgot to get any meat out of the freezer so it's egg and chips later.  Asda couldn't supply eggs so we haven't got many left.

They also didn't have any bleach but OH looked on A....n and bought 10 bottles of Domestos for just over £10.  We've got Prime so they came the next day.  I'm using diluted bleach to wipe the shopping down.

We were lucky in last week's shop. I drop my wife at Lidl and go to Asda for some bits they don't do in Lidl then go back to pick her up. Last week I found a bag of plain flour in Asda and when I told my wife of the find she said she'd got a bag of self raising in Lidl. Will have to get on and bake some cakes.
So long and thanks for all the fish

Aiming to sit down to dinner around 7:00pm. There's a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc chilling  in the fridge.

Getting together behind the Co-Op with some of the boys, enjoy the sunset and pass around some Bluebird wine..

I imagine skip diving now is likely to be pretty fruitless with most of the shops shut. I have a friend who is an expert in this field and will maybe consult him.

If that skip really is a scooby-doo I think I'd be fitting a windscreen because they go like stink.
