How is your leg?  Are you able to get out at all?

I'm still not supposed to go out but have just been for a brisk walk.

The weather is supposed to be improving and I have a date to go and sit in a neighbour's garden for a natter.  I'll probably take my own cuppa with me.

Mother goes out in convoy:

she drives her car with the dog, friends follow her in their cars, then they all have a walk 6 feet from each other
and a good, old yakk.

Dunno why they listen to the regulations: they are all aged between 85 and 95 and a right tough lot who
have survived far, far worse.

Hi Sheila..Leg's healing slowly but healing it is. Thanks for asking. I'm getting out whenever I wish really and learning the ins and outs of using a stick.  ;D
You might consider taking a thermos of tea...and don't forget the biccies.

Zooni. Try not to use the stick all the time, you must use the muscles of your leg.  When you go for a walk, now and then, take a couple of steps with both legs, to help the muscles stay strong. gmx

I know what you really mean Granny but I had a vision of zoony stepping forward with both legs and falling backwards onto his bottom!

Because they grew up in a generation that respected laws & were used to complying with civilian emergency powers during the WW2.

Most, not all, of our generation are the last ones that will do so.
