Primark in Glasgow reopens today. People started queuing at 05:30. WHY?

When I was watering my front garden the other day I overheard a couple of women passing who said that some had set up tents to queue when ours opened.

Of course she could have been mistaken and  it was just the normal town centre ghetto.
So long and thanks for all the fish

One reason for the queues is probably that a yard of elastic costs more than a new pair of knickers.

Maybe they're giving away free toilet rolls.
If the Buck stops here how can the Doe go all the way ?

No they were missinformed they thought it was a protest meeting against Primark exploiting  people that produce their goods.

I can't see the attraction of Primark myself, but then I'm not 16.   Cheap and cheerful I suppose, but queueing at 5.30 am ?  not for me :)

I remember shopping in Chester for clothes and I had been to M&S, Debenhams etc. and not bought anything.  I had never been into Primark but wandered in and found a couple of really good things.

I then crossed over to Bon Marche and found a lovely holiday dress.

I’m obviously meant to be a cheap store shopper!  No class me! (I’ll say it before Scrumpy does)

Primark is a store I can enter with my wife without that sinking feeling....

She used to be M&S only but they have discontinued her favourite lines and shut down the local store so she has given up on them. Used to be much better quality than now too. For my part £40+ for a pair of jeans is at least double the going rate.
So long and thanks for all the fish

Now I dredge my memory - bought a couple of casual shirts there some years back - still going strong, although they did shrink a bit in the initial wash, making them a bit snug

Mine just seem to shrink over time. Especially over Christmas.
