Recently iv found a web site called (ediths streets)

its very interesting when looking up areas. of the past  i looked at Islington, and east London streets, particularly if you know the borough, may be even a street, as some streets have been built on or landscaped  (how ever its worth a look  simply out of interest,) but not all areas  mainly east, and south, London plus the  history which some areas have including greater london,

There was a lovely program on the tv a little while back about the history of streets in different areas..
It took you through the build .. through the years .. the changes and residents..
Some places started off as slum tenements and ended up being owned and lived in by millionaires...

I enjoyed that series a lot. Along with A House Through Time, though the last one was in Bristol and I got the feeling that David Olusoga was being a bit precious about the slavery angle..

I did watch the Bristol  A House Through Time..

Lots of properties were built through the proceeds of the slave trade.. That's part of our history..  I enjoyed the WW2 era..
