Honesty, decency, not having to run a round checking prices every year, jumping from one cheating rotten provider to another. Utilities that were publicly owned. Insurances companies who were not huckstering charlatans. No mobile phones, no satellites, a time when we had problems and not challenges. A time when a shed was a shed, not an outside storage solution.  Days before the Common Market threatened our sovereignty and became the 4th Reich. A time when the BBC was respected and trusted as a standard setter for attainment and not biased sledging. Morecambe and Wise, Tommy Cooper, The Goons, Peter Cook and Dudley Moore de dah, de dah ...

And when those of us liked Benny Hill weren't subjected to politically correct judgement.
