Bored with Lewis
« on: Jul 19, 2020, 08:21:40 PM »
Today we had the third GP of the year and again he claims they do not understand. He is the one that does not understand that people can have a different point of view to him and not be stupid.

Why doesn't he put his efforts in getting people to socially distance and wear masks. Or in to addressing modern slavery in the UK and other parts of the world! He probably does not understand!

To hell with the band-wagon jumping, millionaire celebrities. He's paid to drive a car. His politics shouldn't enter into. Another arrogant, entitled spawny wazzock. There're a lot of 'em about.

He's an amazing driver, but he lacks social awareness.  Considering where he started and what he's achieved he could do so much as a role model for other young, black men, but he comes across as you say zoony.

He has reached where he is today. Because he has worked the hardest, and become the very best. Despite his perceived drawback.

He doesn't seem to recognise. All the others around him, who just happen to be white, have done exactly the same. In their particular section of F1.

He seems to want society, to help layabouts etc., to become winners too.....

Or, have I got it wrong?

Agreed Mac. He's a great driver and soon to be 'was' a great driver. He has another year or two at the top of his game so might make positive use of his position and to be fair, I understand he devotes some of his time and money to charitable causes. Which is laudable but expected. I just cringe at his naivete..or perhaps that should be the naivety of the people who advise him. I doubt he does much of his own thinking nowadays..

There's now another mixed race driver, Albon, whose mother is Thai, dad is English.

Today he says he is driven by failure. Whilst saying he is not driven by numbers he seems quite obsessed by them.

Two failure points were 2007 when he lost out to Kimi and 2018 when he lost out to Nico. Obviously no guilt when he deprived Masse of the title in 2008 with some collusion with other teams!

Time to go me thinks...

So when he finally gives up “giving the knee”, can we say, he no longer cares?
Politics and sport is a bad mix, you can go from hero to zero in one day.
I’m a real he/him.

I wish it was, great series, great actors, unlike a bloke who's only claim to fame is he drives fast.
