There is an antique place a few miles away which is fascinating to wander around, and also has a restaurant, which is where I had shark a few years back, perhaps five or so. Always have interesting things on the menu. Hopefully I will be able to go back there one day

Is it near Abernyte Mike? Been to a really nice place there.

Do you mean the SAAC? My daughter and I have visited there several times and always had lunch while we were there.

Never tried jellied eel, but I used to eat smoked eel when I worked in Amsterdam.
I like fish and living near several fishing ports, I can get plenty of fresh seafood.  I've eaten quite a lot of different fish and shellfish.  I really like Octopus when I can get it.  Sometimes Morrisons stock it.

You don't see them because they are now an endangered species.

Same old sad sad story, lets kill off all animal species and have the planet to ourselves - sadly it just doesn't work like that !!

You can still get jellied and smoked eel, but I think they may be imported rather than  ones caught in the UK.
