Now you are just taking the mickey. I don't take any wine with my breakfast unless it is late enough for the sun to have risen above the yard arm. As I have surely made clear I am dieting. Why else the lettuce?

Who said it was wine?

Fair point. Not being a connoisseur I am unfamiliar with such speciality produce. My tastes don't stretch much past Chateau Pis de Chat.

You must try Chateai Pis de Chevre. It is as smooth as butter.

It's more akin to Pis du Chien to be honest..It was a momentary play on words which fell well wide of the mark...Apologies.

Google told me that Ashy's was something to do with goats udders but there is also some genuine bottled stuff with that name.

It's all a nonsense anyway - I hope nobody has taken my tip to heart and reckons they can lose weight on a full English so long as they have a lettuce leaf with it.

I did buy some summer clothes in the November last year.  I gained about 15/16 lbs during lockdown so although I could get into them, all I saw was a fat face and stomach so I put them away again.  I have lost 10 lbs [121bs on the rare, good day] so they fit fine now.   I seem to have plateaued this week and haven't lost an ounce but at least my face isn't fat though my tummy is still pudgy.   But even when I'd lost just 5lbs the difference it made to my legs was immense.  Now I am halfway back to normal.  I didn't count calories, I just didn't eat anything that had no nutritional value [except finishing off the Hagen Daz in small portions ;D ].  I can't believe how often I picked up a small kit kat or blue riband while waiting for the kettle to boil.  Then that one became two or even three to have with the drink I'd made.  My treats for the last 6 weeks have been an occasional Jacob's Cream Cracker which I love -dry, buttered, or a bit of marmite.

I had a lot of thin but large pork steaks with bone in the freezer.  I roasted each one in a bag with peppers, chillies, spinach, anything available.  They were absolutely beautiful but I reluctantly managed to cut off the fat which was also perfectly cooked - and that was very, very hard to do.

From what you have told us before Brian each of them seems highly skilled in the art of massage even if all they are massaging is your wallet.

I think I've had some experience of that one. Reminiscent of Pis de Fonebox 1998 and just about any vintage of Pis de Carparklift.
