Very nice GYM and Pool Raven and no problem in social distancing. To be honest cannot see any reason for you not enjoying it. Go on line and inquire if there is any virus out breaks in that area. Before you go back, check if you have to book a swim slot.  We have to at Bannatyn to restrict numbers in the pool.

I used to be a member of Bannatyne's when I was living in Perth full time. I hated that open plan changing room set up though,  only the 2 cubicles in the ladies and I would wait for one of them or use a toilet. How are they managing that with all the restrictions?

At the moment the club is pretty quiet Raven. I had the changing room all to myself, and shared the pool with two ladies. So tomorrow I will be going at the same time 0945. How many cubicles in the ladies I have no idea. They seem to be managing restriction OK. Mask have to be worn when moving around. Sanitiser must used before you enter the club, at the same time your temperature checked. In the GYM every over machine is in use to keep social distance. Sauna and steam room closed. Pool and exercise classes numbers are restricted.

Yourself you have a far higher risk hurting your self on the farm than catching the virus.

The GYM you are a member is far Superior to mine but mine, only a mile away from my home so I am happy.

I have never used the gym, I swim only, between 40/50 lengths Monday through to Friday. Followed by either the steam room or the sauna for about 15 minutes. Or I used to up untill lockdown.
It was the same when I was at Bannatynes.

I do hope you stop worrying about the virus and start enjoying your swim again. We have all got to learn to live with it, its not going away any time soon.

I hope so too, I'm heading down to Perth for a while shortly so I'll see how things are doing when I get back. I certainly need to start up again, my body is not behaving it's self.

Well Raven hope your GYM still open. Two have closed in our area. The pool was once again very quiet, just 3 of us. I feel my fitness slowly improving. Swimming very hard work because I have very limited use of my leg.

Just heard on the news Raven your GYMs are not open yet. That is very unfair for people in safe areas.

Mike your last post did not make much sense to me. The GYM which Raven uses is in a pretty safe area with few cases yet all GYMs in Scotland must remain closed. They should have gone tough in out break areas ie Glasgow. Many GYMs in England will not reopen DWSPORTS is one in our town centre.

That’s what I meant. Problem in a small area, and a much bigger area gets slammed

Nicola as done a good job until now. In safe areas GYMs should be allowed to open they are so important for disable people. For me just walking a few yards is quite painful, but in the pool I can walk miles with no discomfort.

As far as I was aware Scotland opened Gyms and Pools ect last month. Unless they've been re-closed. I haven't heard anything about that happening.

Gyms   , swimming pools and indoor sports courts in    Scotland    could reopen on 14    September   , First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has announced.

I thought I may have made a mistake in my post so i googled to find out. They should have opened 31st August.
