Yes, it's remarkable how the earth has evolved naturally and randomly over 4.5 bilion years.   Perhaps the process should have stopped before hominoids evolved.

Now there's a coincidence.  I think that the belief in a god is probably one of man's greatest disappointments.
I also think we'd better respect each other's different beliefs.

The phrase that explains Christianity and probably most other religions is "God fearing". It paid (literally) priests and shaman before them to instill fear and gain a rather nice lifestyle warding off the wrath of some deity or other. Royalty claimed a "god given" right to their seats of power. The whole lot is based on fear rather than love.

Who would have thought a post about the undeniable beauty of some of the world (mostly the bits without people) would turn into a series of posts extolling atheism. Perhaps if there had been a link as the text suggested there would have been a different outcome.

I think that the way I feel about  what I perceive as beauty, of the World and the Music and the Arts.....Is very personal to me. I consider myself very lucky indeed, to be able, in these miserable times, to find happiness inside me.

I do not give a toss about anyone else beliefs or values.  It is never my business to feel anything about what others do or think.  My beliefs and thoughts are my very own, and because to me they feel good, I am happy. And I drink to that. Amen.  ...and NOT. I  am not a selfish old maid. I do not say that myself. I have all the Birthday cards that tell me so....gmx :D :D :D

Thank God I am not religious, but I do not believe in evolution either.
