No sympathy for drink driver.
« on: Sep 16, 2020, 12:25:09 PM »
A man was complaining about being disqualified for drink driving and he said he only hit a pensioners car and he ranted on that pensioners should not be on the road.
Instead of blaming the pensioners surely he should have thought of the possible consequences before getting in his car and driving.

Why do we call these people "drink" drivers? Why not call a spade a spade and call them what they are - drunk drivers? If they are technically over the limit then they are drunk.

If you are going to drive a car then you have a choice whether to drink or not. A car is a lethal killing machine in the hands of a drunk.
Rules are for the guidance of wise men and the blind obedience of fools.

There is no excuse for drink driving. I don't drink in the day but I have a drink in the evening.
On 1 occasion I felt unwell after I had a beer. I phoned for a taxi and it was with me in about 5 minutes.
It turned out I had pulled a muscle.
As my daughter was about to finish her shift she bought me home.
